Since founded in 1970, Clarksville Academy has
upheld its role as an independent, college
preparatory, co-educational school. The wooded
campus is located in Clarksville, Tennessee, a small
metropolitan setting, forty-five minutes northwest
of Nashville, Tennessee. Clarksville Academy serves
students in Pre Kindergarten through grade 12.
We are accredited by the Southern Association of
Colleges and Schools and hold membership in the
Tennessee Association of Independent Schools, the
Educational Records Bureau and College Board.
Over 43% of the faculty hold the Master's degree or
are in the process of earning an advanced degree.
The student to faculty ratio is 12:1 and the average
class size is 18.
On November 23, 1969, a group of parents met at the
Farm Bureau Building in Clarksville, Tennessee, to
discuss forming an independent school in the
Clarksville area.
The
discussion produced three guiding principles for the
creation of this new school.
