The
Intermediate School educational structure consists of grades
six, seven and eight, although departmentalized, will
generally only interact academically with their grade level.
This gives the student the benefit of exposure to several
teachers while allowing necessary maturity time for this
level student. Exceptions to this are students who, for
enrichment purposes, are allowed to enroll in an Upper
School class.
The
curriculum for grades six, seven, and eight includes math,
history, English, science, physical education, and one
period which incorporates foreign language, art, music,
technology, writing, study skills, and health education.
This period rotates each grading period so that each student
is allowed the experience of each subject.
